City Planner
The City of Forest Hill is accepting applications for a City Planner. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of development related activities, including coordinating, performing plan review, managing building permitting and inspection activities and serve as the staff liaison to the Planning and Zoning Commission and Board of Adjustments. The work requires a working technical knowledge of local government principles, municipal planning, strategic planning and site plan review. Must have a minimum of five years of progressively responsible planning and/or community development. Salary ranges from $45,000 to $50,000. Position will remain open until filled.
Economic Development Specialist
The City of Forest Hill is accepting applications for an Economic Development Specialist. This position works under the general supervision of the Director of Economic Development and Community Relations and provides essential research and business retention program implementation and management for the City of Forest Hill. Candidate will also provide support services for the Planning & Zoning division as well as assist with the planning and implementation of city sponsored events. Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis in business, economics, planning or some other related field required with a minimum of two years of experience working for a city government or other related industry (chamber of commerce, industrial commission, etc.). Combination of education or experience with a degree substituting for required experience. Salary ranges from mid $30,000 to low $40,000 per year and includes an excellent benefits package. Position will remain open until filled.
