RESCUE 23

Rescue 23 is considered a State Homeland Security asset given its capabilities for use in severe weather catastrophes like Hurricane Katrina, the collapse of buildings, detanglement situations and when calls require highly specialized fire rescue services.

The City of Forest Hill Fire Department, through national grant funds received in 2005, is the proud recipient of Rescue 23. Using a team of specially trained firefighters, this unit stands ready for use not only in the Metroplex but across the United States.

Cool Features of Rescue 23

"Command Light": Powerful light "tower" illuminates a football field size area.
Command Module: Four person cab/Command area.
Homeland Security Asset: Available to any area department/agency on request.
Jaws of Life: Hydraulic equipment for freeing trapped victims.
