To learn more about the services we offer or have a suggestion on how we can improve, stop by the Fire Department administrative offices at 6800 Forest Hill Drive during normal business hours.  Or, staff can be reached at  (817) 531-5715.

RESCUE 23

RESCUE 23 is considered a State Homeland Security asset given its capabilities for use in severe weather catastrophes like Hurricane Katrina, the collapse of buildings, de-tanglement situations, and when calls require highly specialized fire rescue services. The City of Forest Hill Fire Department, through national grant funds received in 2005, is the proud recipient of RESCUE 23.  Using a team of specially trained firefighters, this unit stands ready for use not only in the DFW Metroplex but across the United States.

Special features of RESCUE 23 include a “Command Light” – a powerful light tower that illuminates a football field sized area; a “Command Module” – a 4 person cab/command area; is a “Homeland Security Asset” – meaning that the unit is available to any area department or agency upon request; and, the “Jaws of Life” – hydraulic equipment for freeing trapped victims.

For any emergency, call 911.
