Forest Hill Police Department Citizen's Police Academy

The Forest Hill Police Department Citizen's Police Academy will start on July 12, 2022. The class will meet on Tuesday from 7pm to 9pm for twelve weeks at the Forest Hill Civic Center. The academy is open to any City of Forest Hill resident, business owner, and those working in the Forest Hill community FREE of charge.


During the 12-week academy, participates will have the unique opportunity to see and interact with our Police Department, officers, and staff. Participants will engage in interactive discussions and hands-on activities to gain a working knowledge of the Forest Hill Police Department.

The goal of this academy is to strengthen and increase communication between the Police Department and the community we serve. The citizens, in turn, make officers more aware of their concerns and needs.

Who is Eligible?

Must live or work in the City of Forest Hill

Must be at least 21-years of age

Must agree to attend 10 out of the 12 classes in order to graduate

Must complete a 4-hour ride with a police officer(s)

Must pass a background check

If accepted, you must agree to come with an open mind, have fun and asks lots of questions.
